Can I import recipes from Instagram and TikTok?

Yes. Social imports support public posts from Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and Facebook with Sous Chef or Head Chef. Share a supported post to SavaPlate or paste its link. Availability depends on the content a platform exposes; some posts need you to paste the caption or supply a screenshot. Private or blocked posts and every video format are not supported. Always review the extracted recipe.

How does Dish Detective work?

Start with a dish photo, add optional restaurant or menu context, and refine what you remember about its ingredients and flavors. Dish Detective looks for recipe matches and explains the clues behind them. It helps you find a way to recreate the dish; it does not promise a restaurant’s exact or secret recipe. It is included with Sous Chef and Head Chef, subject to monthly limits.

Can I still add recipes from a cookbook or website?

Absolutely. Photograph a recipe page, upload screenshots, or paste a supported public recipe-page link. Social imports and Dish Detective sit alongside these everyday capture tools.

Can I try SavaPlate for free?

Yes. Start with 15 everyday recipes and a free monthly processing allowance. Social imports and Dish Detective require Sous Chef or Head Chef. You’ll see each plan’s features, limits, price, and terms before you subscribe.

Is SavaPlate available on Android?

We’re launching on the Apple App Store first. Google Play is planned for a later release; we haven’t announced a date yet.

What happens to my photos and recipes?

Private recipe photos and personal notes are not published. Online recipe tools send the content needed for your request to processing providers. Public-source recipe facts may be reused with attribution when you allow processing. Read our Privacy Policy for the details and your choices.

Can I delete my account and data?

Yes. Open Settings → Your Data in SavaPlate, or use our account and data deletion page to request deletion without the app. Deleting your account does not cancel an app-store subscription.
