How it works
Share or paste the link
Open a supported public recipe post. Choose SavaPlate from the share sheet when it is available, or copy the link and paste it in Capture.
Review the recipe
SavaPlate looks for ingredients and directions in the available caption or description, and can analyze supported video or audio when needed. Check quantities, cooking temperatures, times, and the source before saving.
Save and cook
Save the reviewed recipe to your library. Organize it in a collection, add it to a meal plan, or open its step-by-step cooking view.
What to know before you start
Can SavaPlate save every Instagram or TikTok recipe?
No. The post must be public and expose usable recipe information. Platforms can block access, and not every video format is supported. If a caption cannot be read, you may need to paste the recipe text or provide a screenshot.
Does it keep the original creator’s link?
The import review includes the recipe source so you can check attribution before saving. Keep the original creator’s source attached to recipes you import.
Can I also import from a website or cookbook?
Yes. Capture also supports public recipe-page links, screenshots, and photographed recipe pages. Review the extracted details before saving, especially quantities and preparation times.
Is social recipe import free?
Social imports require Sous Chef or Head Chef. SavaPlate starts with 15 everyday recipes and a free monthly processing allowance for eligible tools; that free allowance does not unlock paid social imports. Current plan details and prices are shown before subscribing.
