Cookieless traffic and performance measurement
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand page traffic, referring sites, and loading performance. Cloudflare describes this service as not using cookies, local storage, or fingerprinting to track individual visitors. Its beacon processes technical information needed to deliver those measurements. We exclude European traffic, pages with URL queries or fragments, and the membership sign-in page from this beacon. It is also disabled when your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.
This aggregate measurement is separate from the optional PostHog events below. Read about Cloudflare Web Analytics.
Optional analytics: your choice
PostHog receives events only after you choose “Accept optional analytics.” We measure page visits, membership-page views, App Store link clicks, and successful handoffs to hosted checkout. A link click is not recorded as an app installation or purchase. We send a public page path, a broad referral category such as search or social, and a random identifier for the current browser tab.
We do not send form values, email addresses, account identities, recipe contents, URL query strings, or URL fragments with these events. We do not record sessions, automatically capture interactions, create person profiles, or link website visits to app accounts. Requests reach PostHog’s US ingestion service; we disable geographic enrichment and request that IP addresses are not stored in event properties.
Select “Reject optional analytics” to keep PostHog off. You can change your choice at any time using “Privacy choices” in the footer. Rejection stops future events, aborts pending requests, and removes the tab identifier. It cannot recall events already received by PostHog. Optional analytics remains off when your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. Website and mobile-app choices are separate.
What your browser stores
savaplate-web-analytics-consent-v1 in local storage records the notice version, whether optional analytics is accepted, and an expiry time. It lasts 180 days, with expiry checked when you visit or interact with the website. It contains no account identifier. Your earlier cookie-notice dismissal does not authorize analytics.
After acceptance, savaplate-web-analytics-session-v1 in session storage holds a random tab identifier until that tab session ends or you reject optional analytics. If browser storage is unavailable, your choice and identifier stay in page memory only. Clearing this site’s browser data removes stored preferences. No advertising cookies are set by our website.
Site delivery and security
Cloudflare also processes technical request information to deliver and protect the website. Depending on the protections used, it may set cookies needed for security or preventing abuse. These are separate from analytics. Read Cloudflare’s cookie information.
Membership and other services
When website checkout is available, verification keeps your sign-in token in page memory, rather than cookies or local storage. Following a link to hosted checkout, the App Store, or our public feature board takes you to another service, where that service’s own privacy rules apply.
